Can You Actually Make Money Online?

Absolutely, but it’s not as easy as the ‘gurus‘ will tell you, sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear but its the truth, hard work is required, late nights and early mornings will bring you success!

If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme them please don’t waste your time reading any further than here.

Even As A Beginner, YOU Can Make Money Online!

If I’m honest with you I was really skeptical about “making money online” when I started out, it seemed that everyone I spoke with was either trying to sell me something or promising me the world.

Like most people I invested money in online courses that were just regurgitated content which I could have found on YouTube!

After being burnt for a few hundred pounds I decided that I would go at it by myself, I found a product on ClickBank (affiliate network)  and created a website and created content around the product.

To my complete surprise within a few weeks, I had made my first $500 online!

These sales really opened my eyes and showed me that actually, it was possible to make money online.

Getting Started

It’s easy to get carried away and just start promoting anything and everything but from experience, this doesn’t work and you will end up feeling discouraged.

Niche Selection

The first step you need to take is to select a product, ideally, you want to choose a product which is evergreen.

The three evergreen niches are:

  1. Make money online
  2. Dating/Relationships
  3. Health & Fitness

Evergreen niches will always have customers, people are always looking to lose weight, get healthier, make extra money and find love, this is important when selecting a product if you are looking to build a profitable online business.

Having an interest in your niche/product will make the whole experience of creating content, videos etc much more enjoyable but isn’t essential if you plan on outsourcing this work.

Product Research

Once you have a product in mind it’s time to research and see if people are searching for this product, are there reviews, blogs focusing on this product? are people running ads for this product?

Most of the time if people are running paid ads on google/bing, for example, it’s a good sign they are making money otherwise they wouldn’t bother.

The following tools and services will help you research your product:

  1. Search engine (google/bing) – Type “{PRODUCT NAME} review” and see how many results there are.  If there are already reviews don’t worry it’s possible to outrank them if your content is better!
  2. Keyword research – There are lots of free and paid tools out there which you can look and see how many searches are being made for your product. Google offers a keyword planner tool which will become very useful.
  3. YouTube – Search for reviews and videos related to your product, are people viewing them? Are people engaging in the comments section?
  4. Search Engine Paid Ads – Using either google or bing search for your product using a keyword like “{product name} review”, once the results are displayed look at the top of the results and see if people are paying for adverts, this is normally a good indication that the product is selling.

There are hundreds of affiliate networks out there that offer some really great products, I would recommend clickbank and Jvzoo if you’re just starting out as these networks are great for beginners.

  1. Clickbank
  2. JvZoo
  3. CJ Affiliates
  4. Amazon
  5. eBay

Audience Research

By this stage, you will have a good idea if your product is worth promoting and what people are already doing in regards to promotion.

It’s important to understand that you DON’T need to reinvent the wheel just offer more value and do what’s already being done but better.

Before creating any content or ads around your offer you need to know who you actually want to sell to.

Once you know who you want to sell to then you can craft your content and offers directly to them, this form of advertising always converts better.

You will want to know the following before you start creating content/ads:

  1.  What gender will you market to? Male, Female or both?
  2. Age range, what age group is most likely to buy your product/service?
  3. Demographics, which country/city do your audience live in?
  4. What problem do they have?
  5. How does your product/service solve the issue?
  6. Where can you find these people? facebook groups, forums, blogs?

Driving Traffic

Traffic is the lifeblood of your business and is an essential part of your online business as it will allow you to start generating leads and making commissions, traffic can come from a variety of ways but will either be paid or free.

Which traffic source you choose to use is completely up to you, most people start off with free traffic sources as they don’t have an ad budget to start with.

You will be surprised how many free traffic sources there actually are, here are just a few: (remember to add value and don’t spam your links)

  1. Facebook Groups
  2. Reddit
  3. Quora
  4. YouTube
  5. Blogs
  6. Instagram
  7. Twitter
  8. Pinterest
  9. Yahoo Answers

There are many more free traffic sources but these are the most reliable and have large audiences to market to.

If you have an ads budget already then it will be a much faster way of generating leads and sales.

Like the free traffic sources there are lots of different paid advertising options:

  1.  Facebook Ads
  2. Google Ads
  3. Bing Ads
  4. Solo Ads
  5. YouTube Ads
  6. Instagram Ad
  7. Influencer Ads

Do You Have The Required Skills?

You may be thinking to yourself, it’s all well and good knowing all this but I don’t have a clue how to ACTUALLY do it, how do I create a Facebook ad? How and what is a solo ad etc…

I’ve been in this exact place and it ‘s annoying because you know you have a good idea, you know there’s an audience and you know you can make money but you just lack the marketing skills.

I mentioned above that I brought into a $300 online training program which was just regurgitated content from YouTube and other peoples case studies.

I knew that I wouldn’t be able to scale my business by my self so I set out to find my self a mentor which I could learn from. After lots of research, I found a mentor who had made over 170 million online.. yes 170 MILLION!, Dave had opened up a done for you online business so you could earn as you learned the required skills.

Dave’s straight talking and advise has changed my life and I’ve learned skills that will serve me for life and will allow me to always make money online.

If you need help learning marketing skills or scaling your business then I can’t suggest this training enough, I wish I’d found this before wasting $300 on a previous course.

If you’re serious about online marketing you can’t afford to miss out on this training!
